Minutes for the regular meeting held on July 10, 2014 were -nailed to members before the meeting. A <br /> motion was made by Mr. Sha c ett and seconded by Ms. Allen to accept the minutes as <br /> presented. The motion was adopted. <br /> Minutes for the special meeting held on July 17, 2014 were mailed to members before the meeting. <br /> notion was made by Ms. Allen and seconded by Mr. Shackett to accept the minutes as <br /> presented. The motion was adopted. <br /> TREASURER'S SEPT: <br /> Budget to Actual Deport: Mrs. Botsford presented the budget to actual report and year end reports, <br /> prepared by the fee accountant, and reviewed it with the board, explaining the variances. Mrs. Botsford <br /> reported that the fee accountant will review gear-ends again when we do the budget for Fiscal Year 2014. <br /> Accounts Payables: Mrs. Basford presented the warrants for signature. The warrants for signature <br /> tonight are for the month of July 2014 and total as follows: $46,803.79 for 4001, $4,934.00 for Section 81r <br /> $27,737.00 for MRVP, $31,814.93 for Asher's Path Apartments, $21,979.50 for the Housing Assistance <br /> Program and $9,728.93 for Great cove community. <br /> Mrs. Botsford reported that we have all residents paid in full at all developments and while we are l00% <br /> occupied at Hormeyer pillage, we have one vacancy (due to eviction) at Breezy Acres and 2 vacancies at <br /> Asher"s Path. Mrs. Botsford reported that there will be 3 additional vacancies next month at Asher"s Path <br /> 1 death, 1 resident went to nursing home, and one gave notice), so the next month or so will be quite <br /> busy with unit turnovers. A motion was made by Mr. Hars h and seconded by Ms. Alien t <br /> accept the Treasurer's Report and Year-End Deports as presented. The motion was adopted. <br /> EXE UTrVE DIF E T R" REPORT: <br /> Mrs. Botsford stated she had mailed her report for July bort added the following: <br /> Bob (our custodian) has been out on medical leave and is expected to be out until at least <br /> sometime in September. <br /> While doing the gear-end reports with the accountant, and calculating compensated absences for <br /> sick leave, it was discovered that there was no cap on the amount of time employees could <br /> accumulate. Mrs. Botsford is surveying other housing authorities and will present a proposed cap <br /> for the board to consider at the next meeting. <br /> • Mrs. Botsford and Mr. Halpern met with Joyce Mason and Selectman Richardson and it seemed to <br /> be a productive meeting. Ms. Mason apologized for using the word"audit"when what they really <br /> want is a review of the program. To summarize the meeting, the town is working on getting a <br /> scope of services to Mrs. Botsford for approval and Mr. Richardson guaranteed "100% support" <br /> from the selectmen with regards to the program. <br /> DHCD has ernailed that the Capital Improvement Plan we submitted has been accepted. Mrs. <br /> Botsford will wait until the award letter is received before planning any work. <br /> • DHCD announced the release of formerly withheld MIVP mobile vouchers. This means we will be <br /> issuing a fear in the next couple of months. <br /> • Mrs, Botsford mailed the letter to CPC regarding withdrawing our application for extending <br /> Housing Assistance Program (copy provided to board). <br /> j • Mrs. Botsford mailed the letter to the Town advising there of what MHP stated with regards to <br /> the feasibility of developing the 950 Falmouth Road property copy provided to board). <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Great Cove community update: Mrs. Botsford informed the board that we have 7 Great cove units leased <br /> with one more scheduled for next week. one unit is Mill inhabitable due to water damage, but the other, <br /> adjoining, unit should be reader to lease before the end of the month. <br /> Page 2 of <br />
