r <br /> Minutes of the Meeting <br /> ASHPEE HOUSING AUTHORITY <br /> Board of Commissioners <br /> rs <br /> Executive session <br /> September 11, 2014 <br /> Date* September 11, 2014 <br /> Time: 6:22 PM <br /> Location: Mashpee Housing Authority, Community Room,. 7 Job's Fishing Road, Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> Members Present: Fran Laporte, Jill Allen, and Sevin Shakett <br /> Members Absent: David Harsh and Richard Halpern <br /> Others Present: Leila Botsford, Executive Director <br /> List of documents and other exhibits used in the executive session and retained at the <br /> Authority`s office: <br /> Proposed updated Management Services Agreement between Mashpee Housing Authority and <br /> Brewster Housing Authority <br /> Proposed budget to go along with new Brewster management arrangement, if adopted <br /> DECISIONSMADE/ACTION TAKEN ARE IN BOLD <br /> The executive session started at approximately 6;22 PM to discuss and negotiation the contract for <br /> management with Brewster Housing Authority and approving the proposed budget. <br /> Mrs. Botsford explained that the existing contract with Brewster Housing Authority expires on November <br /> 141 2014. The drafted, newly proposed two-year Management ent Services Agreement was distributed to all <br /> board members and discussed. Mrs. Botsford stated that the changes to the original contract were in red <br /> and outlined the change to incorporate maintenance oversight, as well as BHA getting a company credit <br /> card so that billing does not have to go back and forth. Additionally, it provides for the BHA to either add <br /> the MHA as check signatory OR make arrangements for a member to go to the office every 2 weeks to <br /> sign checks, The proposed agreement would increase the management fee substantially which would <br /> allow for the additional maintenance coverage, and a raise to the Director of Maintenance, as well as a <br /> raise for Mrs. Botsford and Carol Mitchell, as well. <br /> The Board reviewed the proposed contract and the proposed budget and serine discussion, a motion <br /> was made by Mr, shacl ett and seconded by Ms. Allen to approve the suggested contract and <br /> budget and present it to Brewster Housing Authority. The motion carried.
