Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee Meeting Minutes March 2, 2010 1lashpee Town Hall, Selectmen's Conference Room Present: Alan Trebat'. Bud Abbott Amy Snider Selectman Michael Richardson . Absent: Kalliope Egloff Also Present: Berkeley Johnson CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Acting Char Alam Trebat at 7:15 pr . NEW BUSINESS Committee Leadership With a quorum present of the current Affordable Housing Committee members, motions were made to elect Committee leadership. A motion was made by Mr. Abbott to nominate Alan Trebat as Chair. All voted unanimously. I motion was made by Mr. Trebat to nominate I allinpe Egloff as Vice Chair. All voted unanimously. A motion was made by fir. Trebat to nominate Amy Snider as Clerk. All voted unanimously. I'T'EMS FOR DISCUSSION Committee Membership Berl eley Johnson attended the meeting and expressed his interest in joining the Committee. Mr. Johnson recently re-located to 1lashpee from Martha's Vineyard where he was a Board Member for Habitat for Humanity for 9 years. lir. Johnson is a senni-retired attorney originally from Connecticut where he also seared as a Chairman of the New Canaan Zoning Board of Appeals for 12 years and Chairman of the Housing Authority for 10 gears. liar. Johnson veill be submitting a letter of interest to the Burd of Selectmen. Committee members were in support of Mr. Johnson's candidacy for membership on the Affordable Housing Committee. Members of the Committee introduced themselves to Mr. Johnson. Affordable Housing Committee Meeting Organization Mr. Trebat stated that as Chair of the Committee he will draft the agenda for future meetings Frith input from the membership at meetings or bet green meetings. In addition to specific agenda items, Mr. Trebat plans to include `ether Business'" and "public Comment."' Selectman Richardson added that Brian Kehrl from the 1lashpee Enterprise may attend future meetings.
