Meeting with Mr. Fudala will allow the Committee <br /> to learn more about the current status of the updated plans. Additionally, Committee members <br /> want to learn more about the current Zoning By-Laws and how they encourage affordable <br /> housing and what other options are available to encourage further development of affordable <br /> housing. Mr. Johnson inquired further about the housing Frust and Selectman Richardson <br /> agreed to forward the information to the Committee. <br /> FIs. Snider reminded the Committee about Ms. EgloTs suggestion to consider foreclosed homes <br /> s an option to provide affordable housing. Selectman Richardson will contact Mr. Fudala to <br /> inquire further. Mr. Johnson shared his experience with the Martha's vineyard Trust whereby <br /> developer seeking approval for a project made a payment to the 'frust that was thea used to <br /> purchase foreclosed properties that were converted to affordable housing. Mr. Trebat added that <br /> FUD funding had been available to towns such as Barnstable, Yarmouth and Falmouth in order <br /> to purchase foreclosed homes for affordable housing. Committee members also discussed recent <br /> limits on the availability of CPA Funds. <br /> Committee members questioned whether or not an inventory was available. Copies of the 9/9/9 <br /> merino from Tom Fud al a regarding the affordable housing inventory were di stributed to the <br /> Committee. Selectman Richardson will forward portions of the Zoning and Town By-Laws <br /> related to affordable housing to Committee members by PDF or hard copy. <br /> Announcements <br /> Mr. Trebat announced that CHAPA(The Citizens Housing and Planning Association) will be <br /> F presenting an update on affordable housing, budgets and available tools on March 111 10:30-125 <br /> at the Mate House. <br /> Mr. Abbott inquired about Mashpee Commons and Selectman Richardson noted that they <br /> recently met with the Cape Cod Commission and that the Trout Pond parcel had been removed. <br /> Plans have been submitted to the Planning Board but costs may be a concern. Mr. Abbott would <br /> like to inquire with Mr. Fud la about the availability of affordable units at Mashp a Commons. <br /> MEETING ADJOURNMENT <br /> motion was made by Ms. Snider to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 pm.
