Discussed that reminders will be sent to <br /> Approval of Minutes members. <br /> News at QS 10 minutes 1. School Start Time Committee up date-there was a <br /> recommendation delivered at the School Committee last <br /> night to change the MMHS start time to$:30 AM,QS start <br /> time to 9:00 AM, and KCC to 9:05 AM. <br /> 2.Playground Approval-shared new 31)drawings of <br /> proposed playground to be installed in June, <br /> Chinese Exchange 15 minutes The Council was excited about QS participating in a Chinese <br /> Program exchange student program. Twenty-four 9-12 year olds will <br /> be coming to Mashpee this winter,dates to be determined, <br /> for a ten day visit. They are from the Daxing District of <br /> Beijing. <br /> School Improvement 25 minutes The Council felt there needs to be a focus on engaging <br /> Plan Review families and welcoming them to school for family centered <br /> Objective 3: Parent events. This was based on a discussion of the Falcon <br /> and Community Family initiative under Objective 3.Other than a Falcon <br /> Engagement Fancily Fund initiative,this task was not successful. Overall <br /> multiple efforts have been made to increase family <br /> engagement and communication. Reviewing data, <br /> Resulting Student Performance, was reviewed. There was <br /> mixed level of success,but noted that Math SGP had a <br /> significant jump last year over the ELA school performance. <br /> Based on the changes in instruction and the WIN block,we <br /> felt the listed Measures of Success should remain the same <br /> for ELA and increase for Math. <br /> Next Steps 5 minutes Further review of of School Improvement Plan <br />
