Quashnet School Council Meeting Minutes Date: 11/28/2017 Time: 3:30-4:30 PM Location,. QS Main Office Council Members in Attendance: MaryKate O'Brien,Tracy Fischer, Christine Frauton-Hue, Cathy Lewis, Andrea Fullam, and Robin Geggatt, Not Present: Brett Calhoun. Norms: • This is a safe place to speak freely • Do not be afraid to speak your mind • Decisions will be agreed upon with a consensus of the group • Cell phones available,but sound off • Meetings will be from 3:3€1-4:30 PM Mission:What We Do: e In partnership with families and the community, our mission is to promote academic excellence and character development while supporting and celebrating all students as they prepare for college or career readiness and engage as active citizens. Agenda Item li= Diac ssjjIn Welcome- 5 minutes Tracy Fischer, Andrea Fullam,Cathy Lewis, Robin Geggatt, Christine Frauton-Hue,MK O'Brien Introductions Create council 5 minutes The Council agreed to keep the established norms listed above norms with the addition of: Norms can be adjusted with the consensus of the group. Develop goals 30 minutes Several topics that the Council will be working on are: SIP, of the council School handbook, construction project, and volunteers(Southport, PTO Participation,School Store). We reviewed all three goals in the Blueprint for Progress. Discussed action steps specific to Goal#3, Engaging All Stakeholders and history/purpose of events. The Council members will review action steps for the Initiatives 3.1,3.2,and 3.3. Establish future 10 minutes Next meeting is on Wednesday, December 13,2017 at 3:30 PM.All meeting dates following meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of the and times month at 3:30 PM. 10 minutes Our next step will be to finalize action steps on the School Pian next steps Improvement Plan for Goal#3.
