Stu stated that they are interested in researching advantages of working together to form a <br /> joint trust. <br /> ■ Louise suggested obtaining legal counsel to see if it is advantageous to form a joint trust. It <br /> was also suggested that a vote be postponed until legal counsel has been received. It was <br /> unammously agreed not to move forward with an article for October Town meeting. Both <br /> Committees will ask their legal counsel for a document that discusses the <br /> advantages/disadvantages of forming a Town Trust. Once the documents are complete,the <br /> Committees will arrange another meeting to get back together to discuss the issues. Target <br /> date set for the September Affordable Housing Committee meeting. Because there <br /> wasn't a quorum at that meeting, Gisele agreed to return for further discussions on how we <br /> can work together. <br /> ■ The HAC was formed to work with towns to help improve and increase affordable housing. <br /> ICAC works with the towns to achieve their goals. HAC is currently managing the 40B <br /> affordable housing lottery for the Main Street 40B development <br /> Rick and Giselle discussed a grant that was available through the ED (Economic <br /> Development Counsel), The EDC generates money from license Plate sales. The EIEC has a <br /> grant available for a small cluster of towns to work together to discuss concerns of econonne <br /> nature. These towns need to work together to apply (Bourne, Sandwich, and Mashpee). <br /> FIAC can facilitate the application process with the towns. The grant is for$75K over a 3w <br /> year period. The Plan will need to address: <br /> -� Strategies on 40 <br /> — Needs analysis <br /> — Human priorities (elderly,Native American, etc.) <br /> +� John paone requested that we provide HAC our Affordable Housing flan and asked if they <br /> could review the document to see how we can accomplish our goals.
