i <br /> • <br /> Board of Assessors Meeting Page <br /> Minutes of The Meeting of January 4 , 1994 (continued) <br /> Discussion on Unbuildable Properties (continued) <br /> Upon statement from Robert DeLory concerning The Assessing <br /> Department ' s possession of New Seabury Corporation ' s open Space <br /> Plan, David Bailey informed that Assessing seems to be in "pretty <br /> good shape" regarding open Space Parcels , Asher ' s Heights just <br /> deeded their parcels correctly, and pimlico Pond parcels have <br /> just been deeded to The Homeowners Association; The Town now owns <br /> most of The Open Space Parcels - most of these are in Tax Title. <br /> He recommended that the list of open Space Properties be reviewed <br /> again. Board Members expressed agreement. Chairman Greig <br /> pointed out that The Board has until June 20 , 1994 concerning <br /> Revised Assessments* <br /> Vice Chairman Porter asked David Bailey the status of the <br /> Commercial Personal Property. Mr. Bailey informed that he plans <br /> to wait until he returns from vacation to follow through, and <br /> will advise The Board at that time. <br /> Kenneth Porter made motion The Board accept The Minutes of <br /> The Meeting of January 4 , 1994 as printed; Robert DeLory made <br /> second the motion; motion passed; unanimous decision. The <br /> Minutes of The Meeting of January 4 , 1994 were accepted by The <br /> Board, <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Sea Dist Condominiums - ATB CASE <br /> Mr. Bailey informed The Board that he seat a letter t <br /> Attorney Richard Terry, letting him know that there has been an <br /> error - the proposed settlement was $6 Million; Mr. Terry <br /> replied, stating angrily that the years have been players up and <br /> down ! ! <br /> Upon question from Vice Chairman Porter , Mr, Bailey <br /> I explainer) "the deal" was that Attorney Terry would withdraw <br /> FY1993 and not file for x" 1994 . . . so the assessment would be <br /> lower in 1993 than in 1994 , and lower again in 1995 . The purpose <br /> was to save the clients ' money by not having to file loo <br /> abatement applications in 1994 . He expressed opinion Attorney <br /> F Terry is simply playing games ! ! Vice Chairman porter noted "He <br /> is making a fee! ! " <br /> David Bailey informed The Board that he has prepared another <br /> letter to Mr. Terry, but it is very pointed; and he requested <br /> that Board Members review the letter before it is mailed , in case <br /> M it needs revision.
