David Bailey explained that he will <br /> advertise in the Enterprise and phone various people legal <br /> advertising will be held to the bare minimum. <br /> Personal Property, _Revaluation . Mr. Bailey informed the <br /> Board that Assessing has completed the Personal Property <br /> Revaluation, which can be updated with ease. Assessing will need <br /> to send out Form of List and income and Expense questionnaires ; <br /> MM 's questionnaires will be used they are much better than <br /> our own. Leslie Greig expressed agreement. David Bailey stated <br /> that starting in January, A sessirrg will Mork diligently on these <br /> matters. <br /> Assessing D atr ment ' sBudget, David Bailey informed <br /> the Board that the Sauget will be essentially the sane as last <br /> year ' s budget there are no big changes that he visualizes . <br /> He recommended that Board Members inform him as soon as possible <br /> . if any Assessor would like any requests to . be implemented in the <br /> budget. <br /> -Mr. Bailey pointed out that Assessing did get 'shot <br /> clown" on the proposed f iling system . . . he sees no reason this <br /> issue should be pursued further. He informed Board Members that <br /> an architect has been hired to re-design the flown Hall building, <br /> and he expressed hope that the Assessing Department will receive <br /> some benefits from this project. <br /> Salary ._ Changes , Chairman Porter questioned if <br /> there will be any sailary changes . David Bailey stated that the <br /> only changes will be contractual - nothing about which The Board <br /> nor he has anything to say. .- Leslie Greig questioned if, a <br /> consultant has been hired to review salaries . Mr. Bailey stated <br /> that he has no knowledge of a contract beingawarded; apparently, <br /> someone has been chosen, and final details are still being <br /> prepared for the next Town. Margaret Carmichael. ' s now vacant position. - <br /> hey reached the conclusion that the position not be filled at <br /> the present time, and instead, take a "see what happens" approach <br /> to the matter.
