4 <br /> Board of Assessors Meeting Page <br /> Update on Progress of UjRcoming Revaluation continued <br /> David Bailey informed Board Members that he and Steve <br /> F'ererria finished up what they .could do with the tables based on <br /> the information at present. Their next step is to go out into <br /> the field and decide how many properties will. involve "across the <br /> board" changes and what properties will require individual <br /> changes . He is trying to get Ms . Sue Moynihan of the D.o. , t <br /> come into the Assessing Department next week to get her input on <br /> how she feels they are progressing' and at what stacle they should <br /> now be. <br /> Mr. Bailey also informed that the commercial revaluation <br /> work will be started as soon as Mr. Bob Trembley is free <br /> perhaps within the next week or two. Short discussion followed. <br /> David Bailey expressed opinion the revaluation progress is <br /> in decent shape. The land,. at present, has a c .o.d. of about <br /> 13 . 5 . which is good. Where are a decent amount of land sales, <br /> but it is going to be difficult making our land sales into <br /> assessments for the whole Town # . . this will require some real <br /> "brainstorming" ! ! However, based on the land sales , we do have <br /> good land tables. Lengthy discussion followed. <br /> Kenneth Porter questioned if they tape into consideration <br /> the land sale value when a buyer pays $400 , 000 - - then tears the <br /> house right down.' ! He expressed opinion that the property was <br /> purchased merely for the land value. David Bailey expressed <br /> opinion that some buyers want definite locations particular <br /> areas , many tunes private. Supply and demand is a key factor. <br /> Lengthy side discussions followed. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business before The Board for <br /> discussion, Ke nne- h Porter made motion The Board adjourn the <br /> meeting; Leslie Greig rade second the motion; potion passed <br /> unanimous decision.
