TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF ASSESSORS <br /> Minutes the Meeting f June 1 , 2004 <br /> Board Attendees: other Attendee: <br /> Les Greig, Chairman Ardelle Telly, Assessors Office <br /> Feather Moyes, Clerk <br /> Absent: <br /> Marcia Ding, Vice Chairman . .. . <br /> Chairman Les Greig called the meeting to order at 8:85 PM. <br /> REVIEW of MINUTES <br /> Minutes from the previous meeting held on May 25, 2804 were corrected as follows: page 1 t third <br /> paragraph, first line, replace the word PERSONAL with the word RESIDENTIAL. The minutes <br /> were unanimously approved as corrected. <br /> OVERLAY ACCOUNT TRANSFER RESCINDED <br /> Ardelle felly reported that the transfer of$38,000 from the 1998 overlay account previously <br /> approved by the Board of Assessors at the 4128/04 meeting, for application toward revaluation <br /> expenses, was rescinded because it was not needed. <br /> SUPPLEMENTARY TAX COMMITMENTS <br /> The supplementary tax amount totals$128,778.45. Ardelle felly reported that the Assessors <br /> Office seat letters out to the Tax Collectors office on Monday, 611 <br /> 4104 givinga brief synopsis o <br /> what the bill actually was, giving the amount of the tax, and stating that the tax bills would follow. <br /> The tax bills were mailed out on Wednesday, 8118104. The Board signed a commitment letter to -� <br /> the Tax Collector's office for the above-stated supplementary tax mount of$125#770.45. <br /> PRELIMINARY TAX COMMITMENT T FOR REAL ESTATE <br /> The preliminary tax amount for real estate totals$14,398,088.54. The Board signed a <br /> commitment letter to the Tax Collectors office for the above-stated preliminary real estate tax <br /> amount of$14,3981850.54. <br />` A real estate abatement application was received for property at 5 Equestrian Avenue. The <br /> reason tof the abatement request was that it is a new construction area, and the Building <br /> Department provided the incorrect map and block to the Assessors Office. The Board <br /> r unanimously approved the abatement application. <br /> 4 <br /> PRELIMINARY ARY TALC COMMITMENT FOR PERSONAL PROPERTY• � <br /> The preliminary tax amount for personal property totals$420,885.92.
