Marcia King expressed her concern regarding a letter dated May 5, 2065 that was sent out on <br /> letterhead, and signed by Jason Streebel and Heather Noyes. Marcia stated that she was the <br /> chairpers n of the Board of Assessors on 5/05/05. Her concern was that any letter sent out on <br /> letterhead should go through the whole Board, including the chairperson. She requested that in <br /> the future, any letter sent out on letterhead should be representative of the entire Board. <br /> Jason Streebel responded to Marcia's concern regarding the letter, stating that Marcia did not <br /> discuss with the full Board what she intended to say at the Selectmen's meeting. Marcia stated � <br /> that she represented herself as a member of the Board, but was speaking as Marcia King, and <br /> was not speaking for the Board of Assessors. <br /> . Marcia King further commented on a meeting held by Jason Streebel and Heather Moyes with <br /> Joyce Mason on June 30, 2005 at 1 o ANI. Marcia stated that she was on the Board at that time.. <br /> She was not informed of the meeting, the meeting was not posted, and there were no minutes <br /> from the meeting. It is an open meeting violation if thea are two members of the Board at a <br /> meeting, and the meeting is not posted. Marcia stated that she had a long discussion with Joyce <br /> about the.dune 30th meeting during which the Assessor's office was discussed, and employee <br /> were discussed, which could be a contract conflict.When discussing employee performance, the <br /> meeting should go into Executive Session by formal vote. Marcia stated that Joyce Mason <br /> agreed that there could be a conflict of interest. <br /> Jason Streebel responded to Marcia King regarding the,dune 30th meeting. He stated that it was <br /> not a Board meeting, but was in response to what happened at the Selectmen's Meeting. Jason <br /> stated that he was discussing personal things with Joyce, relating to his tenure on the Board and <br /> whether or not he was going to withdraw or maintain his position on the Board. Jason stated that <br /> when he talked to Joyce, she did not express that she agreed with Marcia King's position that it <br /> was in violation with the meebn law. <br /> . John Duffy reported that additional property belonging to New Seabury Golf Club has been <br /> turned over to the Town, which will result in an increase in tax revenues to the Town.
