• motion; and it was unanimously approved. A copy of the November 17, 2006 letter is attached to the
printed set of these minutes.
S. Request by Joseph Bank to Reconsider Dented Application for Exemption.
Jason explained the issue is two-told. Mr. Bank did not technically qualify for the senior work-off program
at the time he applied since he was a resident of Florida. However Jason's problem with this is that Mr.
Bank worked his 89 hours. It was not up to this Board or the Assessing Department to determine whether
or not he qualified, but in processing the application for exemption the Assessing Department was
informed of the Florida residency. Peal recommended that this Board hold the matter until we see the
form Mr. Bank signed at council of Aging. Jason will again contact Jim Long to obtain a copy of the form.
After reviewing the form it may be that this is not a BOA issue but, rather, has to be placed elsewhere in
Town Government to resolve.
8. Chapter Land 61A and 81 B Applications for FY-2008 Approval,,
Jason explained that of the five 61-B applications there was issue with New Beabury Properties LLC.
New Seabury informed the Town that they are restricted and not open to the general public. They are
private and Brewster has a similar situation, which is in litigation at the ATB. Jason recommended that
the Board tentatively grant New Beabury exemption and await the outcome of the Brewster case. Gregg
commented that if we approve the exemption perhaps BOA should send a fetter putting New Seabury on
notice. It was decided that Paul Andrews would prepare a draft fetter to New Seahury and present this
letter to the BOA for review at the next meetf ng.
Motions:
Gregg Fraser motioned to accept and approve the 81-B a temp#ion to Blew Sea bury, with a latter being
seat to New Seabur ; Sheldon Holzer seconded this motion; and it was unanimously approved.
Sheldon Holzer motioned to grant the 61 A exemption to:
BAKER F R EST 0& ROYCE W.
CHOP CHAQUE CRANBERRIES BEf RIES INC.
MIRTO MICHAEL E.
Gregg Fraser seconded the motion; and it was unanimously approved.
Sheldon Holzer motioned to grant the 81 B exemption to:
GOLDBERG AVRAI I J
GOLDBERG CAROL R
MA BH P LLC
LACAVA ANTHONY N J TR
Gregg Fraser seconded the motion; and it was unanimously approved.
Detailed listing of these chapter 61A and 81 B applicants is attached to the printed set of these minutes.
OLD BUSINESS
Classification...Jason provided the tax rate: $5.84 for town; 17 cents for Water District; and %of town
tax for CPA Community Preservation Act)...total: $6.19 per 1,000.
