Chairman .Jason Streebel, Assessing Dir. <br /> Gregg Fraser, Clerk <br /> CALL To ORDER <br /> Chairman Paul Andrews called the meeting to order at 5:45 Pi. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> T <br /> None. <br /> REVIEW of MINUTES <br /> A motion was made, seconded and passed to approve as presented the minutes from the <br /> BOA Public meeting held on Wednesday, October 1, 2008. <br /> BOARD of ASSESSORS REPORTS <br /> 10 reports. <br /> DIRECTOR of ASSESSING REPORT—Jason Streebel <br /> Assessing office Activity Update <br /> 1. Local Assessment Recap Report. .Jason Streebel reported having completed the <br /> necessary paperwork for the Recap Deport, in conjunction with the Ton'Accountant, <br /> Treasurer, and Torn Managers, and stated that overall, Mashpee lost less than 2% total value <br /> for F '09. Private property sales were down, but sales were up in industrial and commercial <br /> properties. The report has been submitted to the DOR Bureau of Local Assessment for <br /> approval. <br /> 2. Property Values have been issued. .Jason Streebel reported $445,000 in New Growth for <br /> FY09 which is about million in new assessments. New Seabury Country club, which is <br /> no longer receiving an exemption, accounts for$16,000,000 of that new growth value. <br /> . .Jason Streebel reported that Torry McManamin has returned to work after a brief illness. <br /> 4. B S Meeting Report. .Jason Streebel reported that he met with the Selectmen-on 11/03/08 <br /> tog i e an overview of what the upcoming classification hearings are all about, and what their <br /> options would be to Grote on for the actual classification. In lieu of a detailed power point <br /> presentation, .Jason provided one-sheet informational handouts to the B S members. The <br /> projected tax rate for FY '09 is 6.9710. <br /> . Jason Streebel announced dates for the following two Classification clearings: 11/17/08 at <br /> Town Hall, :40 PM for the Town's-Classification bearing; and 11/25/08 at the Water District <br /> for their hearing, :oo PM. BOA members are welcome to attend. <br />
