3. Community Preservation Act Exemption Application -- Mark Schofield, 378 <br /> Mo ornoscoy Road <br /> Jason Streebel stated that some towns do offer exemptions for low income from paling <br /> CPA takes, but Mashpee does not. Mashpee has a Lard Sank tax modified into a <br /> Community Preservation Act tax. The rules under that act specify that the Town would <br /> have to vote to allow low income exemptions, and the Town is not allowed to vote to <br /> approve that until the Land Bank would have naturally ended by the end of 2020. <br /> Therefore, Ma tepee cannot offer this exemption until the year 2020. <br /> Sheldon Holzer made a motion that the Board deny the Community Preservation Act <br /> Exemption application of Mark Schofield at 378 Monomoscol Road. Gregg Fraser <br /> seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> 4. Verizon on Wireless Settlement Proposal <br /> Verizon Wireless representative Mr. Mupo has proposed a settlement for its outstanding <br /> ATB cases. . <br /> Paul Andrews made a motion to allow the Director of Assessing to negotiate with <br /> Verizon Wireless within the above-stated parameters proposed by Mr. I Lupo. Gregg <br /> Fraser seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> . Personal Property Abatement Application Denials <br /> Sheldon Holzer made a motion to deny the Personal Property Abatement applications <br /> listed on Report#PPo 2 og-1, using the BOA signature stamps. Gregg Fraser , <br /> seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> . Personal Property Abatement Application Approvals <br /> Sheldon Holzer made a motion to approve the Personal Property Abatement <br /> applications listed on Deport# PPo 230 -2. Gregg Fraser seconded the motion. All <br /> approved. <br /> . Real Estate Abatement Application Denials <br /> Sheldon Holzer made a motion to deny the list of 32 Real Estate Abatement applications <br /> on report#R32309-1, using the BOA signature stamps. Gregg Fraser seconded the <br /> motion. All approved. <br /> . Real Estate Abatement Application Approvals <br /> Sheldon Holzer made a motion to approve the list of 43 Real Estate Abatement <br /> applications on report#F o3 - , using the BOA signature stamps. Discussion of BOA Policy re: Accepting Fax/Email Abatement Applications <br /> Mason Streebel stated that the ATB has allowed receipt of abatement applications via <br /> fa . Paul Andrews felt that.it would be advisable for the Assessing Office to establish <br /> some guidelines as to whether the ll ashpee Assessing Office would accept abatement <br /> applications via fax and/or email.
