Sheldon Holzer, Chairman Gregg Fraser, Vice Chair .Jason Streebel, Director of Assessing Paul Andrews, Clea CALL To ORDER Chairman Sheldon Holzer called the meeting to order at 5:55 PM. PUBLIC COMMENTS No public comments. REVIEW of MINUTES Paul Andrews made a motion that the Board approve the BOA 8/11/1 1 Public Session minutes as presented. Sheldon Holzer seconded the motion. DIRECTOR of ASSESSING OFFICE ACTIVITY REPORT #,Jason Streebel • .Jinn Bond, Assistant Assessor, has taken a fulltime position in Salem, MA. .Jason Streebel stated that the decision was made to hire a fulltir a data collector in lieu of hiring both a part time data collector and an Assistant Assessor. .Jason stated that the decision was made to hire Mark Benoit as a fulltime data collector, and the new arrangement is working out very well. +0 Town Meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 17, 2011, with Finance Committee and Selectmen's meetings at 6 PIIS prior to the Town Meeting. ,Jason Streebel and .Jason Holzer stated they both plan to attend the Town Meeting. • Jason Streebl reported on a meeting on Monday, October-'1 ', at noon, with Joyce Mason n and Pat Costello regarding the vamp noag taxation situation. The v ar panoag are still pushing for not paying toes on their tribal properties, and the town is asking for reasons as to why they should be exempt. ,Jason reported that he is preparing to work on the F 13 budget. ,Jason expects that the Town Manager again will be asking for a level-fended budget going forward. Jason reported that he is in the middle of the revaluation project, having locked down the Assessor's files and given there to the Paul Iapinos Associates for analysis and review. Personal Property business collection of new accounts has been completed.
