D, Myers <br /> Absent: C. Frye, and DT Dami* <br /> Invited Participant: P. Costello, Town Counsel. <br /> Ed Larkin,, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. <br /> Approval of Minutes - <br /> Muth Maney motioned to accept the minutes of June A 2005; as presented; this motion was <br /> seconded by Mayne Taylor; and was unanimously carried, except Don Myers abstained. <br /> Discussion <br /> The Committee discussed submission of Article for Special 'Town Meeting, Also discussed and <br /> made edits to the highlighted draft of the revised By-Laws provided by Pat Costello. <br /> * Pat Costello ill he meeting with Joyce Mason tomorrow and will check to be sure the <br /> article for Special Town Meeting is prepared and submitted. <br /> Public Hearing to he held in September to include joint meeting of Board of Selectmen <br /> and By-Law Review Committee. -Pat Costello to check with Joyce Mason to see if this <br /> joint Board ofSelectmen/By-Law Review Committee/Public Hearing meeting can he <br /> scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on either September 19,2005 or September 26, 2005. <br /> * Newspaper will publish articles for the warrant. <br /> o Wayne suggested that perhaps if we talk to Janice Walford and get a series of articles run <br /> in the newspaper explaining each section of the By-Laws in piecemeal fashion it nmight he <br /> more helpful. All agreed. <br /> Put final BY-Laws document on Town Website in this highlighted format, along with <br /> explanations, <br /> o Ed stated he would talk with Janice Watford. <br /> o Don suggested all hoards, committees and references to Tow.Meeting he in upper ease <br /> so style will be consistent,..all agreed, <br /> 0 Anywhere in By-Laws document where Charter is replacing By-La.w thea the history is <br /> extraneous and will be deleted. <br /> o article vfI, §6-14 to revert hack to original so amount will he original amount of <br /> $253000. <br /> Motion.' <br /> Wayne Taylor motioned that Pat Costello make changes to the document as <br /> directed; Ruth Maney seconded the motion; and it was unanimously carried. <br />
