Capital lmpro rent Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> January 16, 2001 <br /> Planning/Sewer: (continued) <br /> It was noted that there are currently 4) private wastewater treatment <br /> plants in operation in the Town. The treatment plants include the Ton- <br /> owned facility built to service the.high school, the Mashpee Commons <br /> plant, the Willowbend condominium treatment plant,the Stratford Ponds <br /> condominium and the Southport retirement community. In addition, an <br /> Amphidrorne plant is under construction at the Windchime Point <br /> residential condolnm* iurn, and one has been proposed for the Southcape <br /> Village shopping center. A treatment plant is also under construction at <br /> New Seabury. <br /> The Sever Commission submitted the following three CIP projects: <br /> Effluent Pl eline and Discharge Area.- $2,750,000+: <br /> Pipline and associated pumping facilities to move treated wastewater from <br /> existing wastewater treatment facilities to newsubsurface discharge area. <br /> at log'& 1 fairways of New Se .lury Blue Course, including either <br /> subsurface leaching galleries or shallow injection wells. <br /> Central Area Sewer Expansion: <br /> Cost unknown. <br /> Connection of additional properties in the rotary area to the existing <br /> Mashpee Commons wastewater treatment facility; Police & Fire stations, <br /> library, schools, Christ the Ding Church, Homeyer village and possible <br /> other properties within the vicinity. <br /> Connection costs/charges unknown. <br /> Decentralized Wastewater Facilities: <br /> Cost unknown. <br /> Development of neighborhood cluster, on-site and other wastewater <br /> treatment and disposal facilities recommended by Watershed Nitrogen <br /> Management Plan/Effluent Pipeline Preliminary Design consultant study. <br />
