5 <br /> Capital Irnprovernent Program Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> January 17, 2006 <br /> PLANNfNG & CONSTRUCTION: (continued) <br /> *Replacement of Generator—Police Station- Doo: <br /> The CIP Committee agreed to accept the recommendation to replace the <br /> 1990 emergency generator deemed a matter of public safety. The actual <br /> F cost estimate and related maintenance program is anticipated to be <br /> obtained for the next scheduled CIP Meeting. <br /> 1t was agreed,the project that would retrofit three existing traffic signals <br /> with Opti-Com Traffic Signals estimated to cast $37,500 would be <br /> requested to be faded by the Cape Cod Commission. <br /> *Fire„Supipression System at Transfer Station- $40,000: <br /> The CIP Committee was in agreement to support the installation of a fire <br /> suppression system at the Transfer Station. The building presently do s <br /> not have any fire alarm or suppression system. <br /> KCC Coombs Bathrooms - o, o: <br /> Additional bathrooms for students and staff as contained in the Planning <br /> Construction budget request were supported by members of the CIP <br /> Committee for funding in fiscal year 2007. <br /> ' The roof at the Town Hall building is presently being professionally <br /> evaluated. A section of the roof is leaking and causing minor damage. I <br /> the seams can be repaired for a lesser cost, the Replacement of the Torn <br /> Hall hoof an estimated cost o $50,000 would be deferred from the x' 07 <br /> capital improvement program. <br /> - <br /> PrelimipM Planm Lrig& Construction Total:$165,000 <br />
