Capital Improvement Conrrmittee oard of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 2 , Zoo <br /> APPOINTMENTS TS AICD HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hewn —FY09 Ca ital rovement Pro <br /> The Board of Selectmen and Capital Improvement Program Committee <br /> (CIP) opened the Public.fearing at 7:00 p.m. on the proposed Capital <br /> Improvement Prdgrarn plan for fiscal year 2009. In attendance were <br /> committee members Joyce Mason, Theresa Cook, Rene Read,Dawn <br /> Thayer, Charles Gaior and Fancy Jo Goulart. <br /> As a result of fiscal constraints,the recommended CIP bud et'is <br /> comprised of the following expenditures; <br /> DPW 6 wheel dump truck(final) $56,390 <br /> Police 10 vehicles (year 1 of $105!oOOO <br /> Police 2 vehicles (final) $29,995 <br /> Fire Air Pack Replacement(final) $451000 <br /> Fire 3rd Ambulance $2009000 <br /> The recommended capital budget is intended to be funded as follows, <br /> $236,385 from free cash and-$200,000 from the ambulance reserve <br /> receipts account. <br /> Due to fiscal constraints, alternative funding methods were sought to <br /> complete additional capital improvement projects. The CIP Committee <br /> voted to fund additional capital projects if funding sources were identified. <br /> Available funds from previously authorized bond projects would allow the <br /> re-authorization of ftmds,for the installation of a fuel depot at the DPW for <br /> all Town vehicles. Surplus bond proceeds from pyre-authorized road <br /> construction projects would support the extension of the Route 130 <br /> bikeway from Heritage Park to Pickerel Cove Road and allow for <br /> improvements to the 10 Acre parcel at South Cape Beach. Articles for the <br /> referenced projects are reflected on the Special and Annual Town Meeting <br /> warrants for voter approval at the May Town Meeting. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to close the Public Hearing, <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Motion made'by Selectman Cahalane to approve the report of the CIP <br /> Committee for the FY 2009 Capital Budget. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: nanimous. -0. <br /> The meeting of the CIP Committee adjourned at 7:15 p.m. <br />
