At this time,there are.no violations. However, <br /> if the DEP should inspect and require action,the Town will have the <br /> ability to show that monies have been requested for this purpose. <br /> The estimate would provide loam, seed and re,grading to approximately <br /> three acres of the northwest corner of the landfill. The DEP is aware of <br /> the condition of the landfill cap through quarterly reports. <br /> Ms. Warden informed the CIP that the methane gas monitoring wells have <br /> been reconnended for repair. It was agreed the information will be <br /> verified with the Health Agent. <br /> Fire Department: <br /> George Baler, dire Chief was before the CIP to request prioritization <br /> funding for a Chief s Vehicle in the mount of$35,000 to replace his 2002 <br /> VD Utility Vehicle. The request has been in the'CIP program for the <br /> past four years. Chief Baker explained that the 2002 vehicle would be <br /> transferred to the Fire Prevention Officer. At the time of replacement,the <br /> vehicle Will have miles in excess of 100,000. <br /> It was noted the Fire Prevention Inspector's vehicle is a surplus vehicle <br /> obtained from the Federal Government and would remain the <br /> government's property at the time of re-assignment. 1n accordance with <br /> the requirements of the grant for thelue"vehicle, it must be used for <br /> response or prevention. <br /> Chief Baker indicated that during this time of budgetary constraints,his <br /> vehicle is not required to have 4WD and it is not necessary for the dolor t <br /> be red. It was noted the Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief transport their <br /> vehicles home. At this time, there are{no plans to maintain the Deputy's <br /> vehicle f-house. <br /> The operating cost assumptions contained in the report of the Fire vehicles <br /> contained several inaccuracies. The C1P requested an updated detail of <br /> vehicle mileage, maintenance operations and replacement data for <br /> continued review. <br /> r <br />
