All other vehicles remain in-house. <br /> In FY2010,the Police Chief has listed the acquisition of 2 Police <br /> Motorgycles at a cost of$30,000. .The vehicles are fuel efficient and are <br /> consistent with the Police Department's replacement plan. It was noted <br /> the presented motorcycles were leased,by the Town through a community <br /> policing fit. It is not known if funding can be obtained for two new <br /> motorcycles Mn the grant program. <br /> The CIP requested a cost analysis relative to the purchase of the two <br /> existing vehicles from the lease program and a cost analysis to purchase <br /> one motorcycle. It was noted the cost to purchase one new motorcycle <br /> outright is$15,000. <br /> It was suggested the vehicle replacement proms of the Police <br /> Department be contained in the Police operating budget in the future. <br /> The sum of is requested in FY201 0 to install a card Treader access <br /> system, digital CCTV Surveillance System and digitally recorded <br /> video/audio for the booking and interrogation rooms. The system would <br /> also re'-key all of the doors at the folie facility and it can be enhanced to <br /> monitor all of the Town buildings for intrusion.
