5 <br /> Con nnunity Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> January-1 , 2011 <br /> Recreation: (considered) <br /> As an alternative, materials for the small multiple use building could be <br /> purchased for an estimated $5,000 •- $10,000. To offset costs,the building <br /> could be constructed with free_ labor'offered from the Sheriff s Department <br /> employment program. <br /> Photographs of the existing shed were contained in the CIP file. As a <br /> result of its exposure to the weather, the building is rustic considerably. <br /> The proposed new facility 'is approximately the sane dimensions; 14'x8' <br /> and is anticipated to be located near the entrance gate on the left. The <br /> project if considered by the CIP is approved by the Conservation <br /> Commission. <br /> It was noted the structure does not meet the MA Building Code or the <br /> requirements of FENIA. In the event of a major storm,the building would <br /> not be present at its location. <br /> It was agreed the applicant would obtain a recommendation from Planning <br /> Construction with regards to the project proposal. <br /> Discussion followed regarding the portable restroom facilities. In the <br /> future, a semi-permanent prefabricated structure is envisioned at the South <br /> Cape Beach site. Composted facilities would replace the portable <br /> restroom facilities. The newer facilities are environmentally sensitive, do <br /> not require emptying and are treated with wood chips peri <br />
