Capital Improvement Program Conum ee <br /> Minutes <br /> March 1, 2011 <br /> Present: Joyce Mason, Theresa Cool,Dawn Thayer, Charles Gasior <br /> Absent: fancy Jo Goulart <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Mason at 3 30 p.m. <br /> Towit Mall, Conference Room#1 <br /> MITTS <br /> Tuesday,Fiebrgga 15, 2011.- <br /> The <br /> 011:The alcove referenced minutes were deferred to the next meeting for the purpose <br /> of additional clarification and correction. <br /> APPOINTMENTS&HEARINGS: <br /> Deliberations—FYI2 Capital Improvement Pro (cont"d) <br /> The CIP Committee met to continue deliberations intended for the PY'12 Capital <br /> Improvement Program. <br /> Recreation Department;24 Passenger Van: <br /> With regards to the Recreation Department's request to self-fund the purchase of <br /> 24 passenger van, Crus Frederick was in attendance to request the CIP <br /> COttee consider deferring action to allow for the full compilation of detailed <br /> cost projections. Mr. Frederick indicated that he was unable to secure price <br /> quotations for the lease/purchase proposal and obtain data relative to the proposed <br /> operation of the self-sufficient program. I n addition to reviewm* g cost <br /> assumptions and d ta, Mr. Frederick intends to survey comparable towns that own <br /> and operate their recreational buses. <br /> During the interim,and in ars effort to reduce costs,the Mashpee Recreation <br /> Department is seeking to obtain quotes from alternative firms offering <br /> transportation services. The CIP Committee was in agreement with the F <br /> Recreation Director's request to defer the van proposal In FYI2. <br />
