2 <br /> Capital Improvement Program Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> Tuesday, January 11, 2012 <br /> Present: Joyce Mason, Earn Thayer, Charles a ior, Dan McGarry <br /> Absent: Mike Richardson <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Mason at 3:15 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#1 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS: <br /> Information Technolo <br /> David Delvecchio met With the Capital Improvement Program Committee to <br /> review estimated disbursements recommended for fiscal year 2013 and ensuing <br /> years to support Information Technology. <br /> Prioritized is the replacement of approximately 1 lira of the Town's PC's at a cost <br /> of$28,000 in FY 13. It was noted the three-year replacement program hewn in <br /> FYo . The last majority purchase of PC's occurred in June of 2010. Presently, <br /> Information Technology supports 150 Desktop PC's and 12 Laptops in 7 Town <br /> buildings. It was noted the capital project will incorporate the new Mahpee <br /> Library the CIP program-ithe next funding cycle. The price quotation of <br /> $28,000 v uld allow for the purchase of approximately 34—38 units at a cost of <br /> $700 to $800 each. Monitors are not required in this f and g request. <br /> In addition to the PC replacement program,the Office 201 .0Pgrak,a post of <br /> $30,550 is highly prioritized by the IT part nment. Mr. I elveeehio stated that o <br /> tho 150 PC's, 130 are installed with Office Zoo . The remaining PC's are <br /> installed with Office 20 . This request includes'the Word, Excel, and <br /> PowerPoint to be upgraded to the 2010 version of Office. The Mate discounted <br /> rate is used for the municipal purchase. <br /> • <br />
