MASPEE COUNCIL ON AGING <br /> APRIL 13 , 1994 <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT ALSO PRESENT <br /> Betty Jones, Chairman/Secretary James Long, Director <br /> Miriam Mullin, vice-Chairman Lynne Waterman, <br /> Arthur Weinstein, Treasurer Outreach Coord. <br /> Aurora Bird <br /> Frank Hacks Catherine Conroy, Pres . <br /> Robert Osborn Friends of COA <br /> B. Jean Thomas <br /> The Chairman opened the meeting at 9:09 AM in the Craft Room <br /> t the Senior Center . <br /> Frank Hicks trade a notion to accept the Secretary' s Report <br /> and it was seconded by Mimi Mullin. So moved. <br /> The Treasurer ' s Report was read by Arthur Weinstein. 82% of <br /> the budget has been expended to date and the Director has <br /> already spoken to our liaison with the Finance Committee and <br /> he agreed that more money would be needed because this is the <br /> first budget for the Senior Center since the addition has <br /> been completed. Mimi Mullin 'Wade a motion to ask the Finance <br /> Committee for $1800 from the Reserve Account and to use the <br /> $162 . 71 that was encumbered from 9 . Frank Hicks seconded <br /> the motion and the vote was unanimous . Jean Thomas made <br /> Motion to accept the Treasurer ' s Report and it was seconded <br /> by Aurora Bird. So moved. <br /> Jim Long gage a his report and stated that he was notified by <br /> the Executive Office of Elder Affairs that a potential exists <br /> for an increase to $4600 this year in the Formula Grant with <br /> a minimum' of $.2600. <br /> The 'Title TTI B Grant will expire this year so we will be <br /> looking t obtain more money for it to continue. <br /> We will try and have some type of recognition for the <br /> volunteers . <br /> The Golf League will begin" at Wodbrier in Falmouth this <br /> week. <br /> Jim Long is trying to create a Shuffleboard League, <br /> Jim has requested a person from the JTECH program for the <br /> summer to help around the Senior Center- . <br /> The refrigerator and dishwasher have been delivered to the <br />
