The Chair stated that there were two residents of the Quashnet valley homes who expressed
their frustrations throughout the meeting, such as increasing the number of buses that would be
traveling in the area, or children cutting through their cards as a result of developing the parcel for
affordable housing. Ms. Bgloff recommended beginning to educate residents about affordable housing
and the ways that it would improve the Town.
Status of May Cottage Housing Presentation
Where was consensus that the Cottage Dousing Presentation was excellent. Mr. Johnson noted that
Habitat for Humanity had been in attendance and felt that the presentation was outstanding. Ms.
Egloff recommended that an assessment be provided to participants at future meetings to offer
feedback. The meeting was videotaped and Ms. off recommended contacting the Enterprise with
link of the video so that Mashpee residents could view the cottage housing concept being considered
by the Affordable Mousing Committee for the parcel on old Bistable. There was also discussion
about having the video linked to the town website and run on the local cable station. -Chairman Abbott
announced that Mashpee Commons, who attended the presentation, would attend a future meeting to
discuss changes happening with their master plan.
Feasibility Sturdy update
Chairman Abbott referenced the Scope of work and changes made at the request of a prospective
engineering firm. Items 13 and 14 have been removed from the Scope of work, which were initially
added by the fordable Housing Committee to identify what could be developed at the site and the
number of units. The engineenng firm has stated dw it was not something that would typically be
requested for a feasibility study. Committee members felt strongly that it was a reasonable request in
order to determine whether the site would be feasible for affordable housing. Worn Mayo sent a letter
