MASHPEE COUNCEL ON AGING <br /> FEBRUARY 13, 2002 <br /> W ATTENDANCE ALSO ATTENDING <br /> Arthur veinstein, Chairperson Jinn Long, director <br /> Jeanne Noussee, V. Chairperson Lynne Waterman, Outreach Coordinator <br /> Betty Jones, Secretary lert Sapers,Pres. of Friends of CoA <br /> Leila Botsford <br /> Stephen Gomey <br /> Bob Osborn <br /> Arthur WeinsteinP Chairperson opened the meeting at 9:05 am in the Conference Room at <br /> Town Hall. <br /> Jeanne Noussee made a motion to accept the Secretary's deport as corrected and it was <br /> seconded by Bob Osborn. So moved. <br /> The Treasurer's Report was handed out and discussed. To date 49.40% of the budget has <br /> been expended. Stephen Dorney made a notion to accept the report as written and it was <br /> seconded by Leila Botsford. So moved. <br /> The Director's Report was discussed.. The Director is trying to initiate a revolving account <br /> in time for the trip to Lowell this spring. As well as collecting monies for the trips it is <br /> hoped that the account will pay for instructors fees from money collected to pay for <br /> courses. A request for a new van has been put in the budget -the present van has 90,000 <br /> on it with more repairs to be needed in the future. Betty Jones made a notion to adept <br /> the Director's Report and it was seconded by Jeanne Noussee. So moved. <br /> The Outreach Coordinator's Report was discussed. Twenty-three home visits were made <br /> to aid seniors with various problems such as: Alzheimer's disease problems, placing <br /> volunteer to aid in grocery shopping, resolve a problem with a fuel bill. One new <br /> volunteer was added and will assist in the Thrift Shop when it opens. <br />
