• Participating in many meetings, including one concerning tummg over the <br /> building to the Council on Aging, <br /> • Attending weekly site meetings about the new building involving contractors, <br /> Clerk of the Works, Architect representative, the building committee chair, the <br /> town administrator and various others. The meetings are used for informational <br /> purposes and to resolve issues among the parties. <br /> � <br /> Jim also indicated that he had requested in October that the Friends of the <br /> Mashpee Senior Center, Inc. set aside X15,000 for post construction needs, such as <br /> minor equipment and carpentry not included in the construction bid, and has had <br /> no response to date. <br /> • T'he budget submission for FY 200b was due on December 20, to be approved at <br /> the Town Meeting in May, 2005. Jim was requesting apart-time employee to <br /> work at the preception desk. <br /> • Jim. indicated that the relocation of the Senior Center was scheduled for January 3. <br /> The center was to be closed for as long as two weeks during the transition and the <br /> grand opening was tentatively scheduled for January 28, 2005. <br /> • The following Sunday, January 3Q, there was to be a concert recital to raise money <br /> for the purchase of a piano — charge will be $10 a person. <br /> • The tax abatement program was in discussion for the year beginning October 1, <br /> 2004 to September 30, 2005. <br /> • The Holiday Gift Giving program was scheduled for Friday, December 17. <br /> • The Staff Holiday Party was scheduled for Wednesday, December 15, 2004. <br /> OUTREACH COORDINATOR'S REPORT <br /> Lynne Waterman discussed several of the 27 visits she made over the past month. <br /> In addition, she assisted several seniors with fuel assistance applications. <br />
