■ Request for authorizing a revolving COA Account to <br /> receive and disburse funds generated through programs <br /> supported by the fund, such as senior trips and education <br /> programs. <br /> A suggestion was made by a Council member to circulate a <br /> petition in support of the three articles, and Jim said it was <br /> best if that suggestion was discussed at the end of the <br /> meeting, after he and Lynne had left the room. The council <br /> agreed, and followed through with that suggestion. <br /> OUTREACH COORDINATOR'S REPORT — <br /> Lynne talked about the visits she had made during the <br /> month — totally 13 'in 'all. <br /> One in particular involved a couple and their son and <br /> daughter-in-law. The elderly gentleman is ninety years old, <br /> has severe arthritis and recent weight loss, but is very � <br /> independent. He was added to the civil defense List. <br /> Also, Lynne met with the son of an elderly couple who are <br /> having difficulty coping with the wife's terminal diagnosis <br /> and memory loss. She, along with the psychiatric nurse, � <br /> reviewed with the son their concerns regarding the father's <br /> accessibility to a gun. <br /> One volunteer was added, and will be assisting with <br /> transportation. <br /> Also, Lynne met with George Baker to discuss training of <br /> firefighters regarding the recent change in state's elder at <br /> risk program, and also to discuss reverse 911 . In addition, <br /> she met with Paul Wilde of Elder Services and two staff <br />
