Thirty-five volunteer positions are expected in the coming year. <br /> OUTREACH COORDINATOR'S REPORT: <br /> Home V itslApof tment ;Thirty-four were made this past month. <br /> Volunteer Judy Lenge is on medical leave until the end of December or begging of January. <br /> Lynne took over the responsibility of intervie m* g prospective volunteers. Lynne conducted a <br /> t for approximately twenty of our volunteers on recognising and responding to conce s <br /> regarding seniors. Judy and Lynne met with one of our volunteers to update and revise the <br /> volunteer manual, which is anticipated to be completed in the spring. Lynne met with a new <br /> volunteer driver to provide training. <br /> Meeti gslCo to : Lynne attended the monthly meeting of the Upper Cape Consortium and one <br /> day of MCA's annual conference. She attended training sessions on how t recognize and deal <br /> with hoarding, menopause, and other programs geared toward baby boomers. Lynne nnet with <br /> Kathy Ganer,the new visiting nurse who is working under the Town's grant with the VNA The <br /> October presentation on reia ation with life coach i r. avid Mishkin was well attended and <br /> received, with approximately twentyive seniors participating. Lynne met nth Mafia Lawton, <br /> Conununitym" ison, with attorneys Suprenant and Beneski. She requested presentations on <br /> social security disability and veteran's benefits. Lynne recently represented the Mashpee <br /> Council on Aging at the l ashpee High School Senior eject Exposition. Our project proposals <br /> included a redesign of our brochure and a written history ofth senior center. <br /> FRIENDS of CA REPORT: <br /> ThrAir The thrift shop wifl be closing for two weeks during Christnm vacation. We need <br /> to detern ne how the money from his venue will be spent. The volunteers in the shop have been <br /> great in keeping their commitment to man the shop. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> MCOA Conference: Jack Dorsey and prank Kelly attended the MCOA conference recently. <br /> They brought back handouts about hearing and mental health, conflict of interest in <br /> mumcipaRties, volunteers, etc. <br /> Other:The Scrapbook Project will be promoted. The bird carving class was not accepted at this <br /> time. <br />
