MASI-IPEE COUNCIL 1AGING MINUTES MARCH I 1!� 2009 <br /> Present: Jack Dorsey, Irving Goldberg,Marilynn Brooks, Jack Jordan, Art Eisenberg, virgffiia <br /> McIntyre, Jeanne Noussee. <br /> Also present: Jim Long, Lynnewaterman. <br /> Absent: Marijo Gorney. <br /> The meeting opened at 8:30 axt in the Board Room of the Mashpee Senior Center. <br /> SECRETARY'S REPORT* The Minutes of February 11, 2009 were approved unanimously. <br /> TREASURER'S REPORT: The following expenditms reflect what has been spent to date: <br /> Salary 62.3%, Expenses 71.8%,Energy 0%, vehicular 90%. There has been$4,000 spent on <br /> vehicular repairs, and we may go to the Finance Committee to retrieve $2,000. <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT: <br /> Meetings.* The Director attended the following meetings over the past month: Upper Cape <br /> Consortium, Human Services Committee, Town Department Head, Barnstable County Human <br /> Service, Upper Cape CoA Directors, HarborSide Healthcare, Chef John(Roche Bros), etc. <br /> Operating Budget: Budget recommendations of both the Town Manager and the Fiance <br /> Committee were published in the Mashpee Enterprise on Friday, February 27, 2009. <br /> i <br /> Formula a Grat.Due to Ithe 9C.cuts made by Governor Patrick, our Formula Grant for 2009 was <br /> reduced from$7.00 per senior to $6.50 per senior. The adjusted amount is$19,844.50. The <br /> paperwork needed to accommodate the change has been approved by the town manager and <br /> returned to EOEA. <br /> Public Computer:The Public computer provided by the Friends of the Mashpee-Senior Center is <br /> installed and operational in the Lounge area.. Electrical work was charged to the Donation <br /> Account. <br /> Crinti r lSys errrsHistory Board: CORI policies and procedures are being amended to reflect <br /> that all individuals seeking this clearance must appear personally to the Director and present a <br /> Photo I . Generally, the hours for doing this will be 9-11 a.m. on Friday. The outreach <br /> Coordinator will serve as an alternate. <br /> Television: our mobile television broke down during the month. A very adequate replacement <br /> (Samsung 32 inch I was provided by the Friends of the Mashpee Senior Center. <br /> Tac Program: All slots have been filled in this popular program with the AARP <br /> Coordinator seeking additional help to meet the excess demand. <br /> derrry .f` f ng Learning: The Academy will sponsor a social event at our center on April <br /> for new and prospective members. <br />
