OUTREACH COORDINATOR'S REPORT <br /> November 2010 <br /> HOME VISITS/APPOINTMENTS <br /> Twenty were made this past month, in addition to client contact by telephone. <br /> This month I assisted elders experiencing possible caregiver neglect and/or financial abuse. I <br /> continue to work with Tara Carlene of the Mashpee Police department on these eases. <br /> I met with seniors experiencing grief, and helped them in developing a plan that included <br /> counseling and social supports. <br /> Assisting seniors experiencing financial problems ardor mental health concerns continue to be a <br /> focus of my work. <br /> I met with the town's visiting nurse, Kathleen Ganey, to assign clients. <br /> VOLUNTEERS <br /> I continue to meet monthly with the telcfricnd, SHIITE, friendly visitor assistant, grief support, <br /> birthday flower delivery, fuel assistance, and biography volunteers, to provide supervision and <br /> assign clients. <br /> I trained a new volunteer driver, and a new friendly visitor. <br /> I met with three of our volunteer drivers, to assign there specific seniors to drive to medical <br /> appointments.' I am trying a new strategy in a limited wary, to make e better use of drivers whose <br /> schedules are not as flexible. <br /> MEETINGS/CONTACTS <br /> I attended the monthly meetings of the to "s human service committee and hoarding task force. <br /> I attended the monthly meeting TRIAD meeting, and recruited new friendly visitors and drivers <br /> from their membership. <br /> I met with Mary Principe, Client Services Liaison, Pri acus agency, <br /> Finally, I met with Grace and Mario Polizzotti of the Capers,to plan our holiday gift giving <br /> program. <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> Lynne Waterman <br /> LFw1I w <br /> J <br />
