z <br /> Capital Improvement Program Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> February 8, 2011 <br /> Present: Joyce Mason, Theresa Cook, Dawn Thayer,Charles Gasior <br /> Absent: Nancy Jo Goulart <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Mason at 3:00 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#1 <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Thursday,January 20, 2011: <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Cook to approve the minutes of Thursday, <br /> January 20,2011 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Gasior. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mrs. Mason,yes Mrs. Cook,yes <br /> Mrs.Thayer,yes Mr. Gasior,yes <br /> Opposed,none <br /> APPOINTMENTS &HEARINGS: <br /> Deliberations—F 12 Capital Im rovemen Program: <br /> The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Committee conducted due diligence <br /> with respect to reviewing capital projects proposed for fiscal year 2012. <br /> Prior to deliberations,the CIP met with one of the department heads to further <br /> review pending issues pertaining to his capital budget requests. <br /> Fire Department: <br /> George Baker, Fire Chief presented detailed cost estimates to support his capital <br /> improvement program requests for FY-12. Several of his requests were deferred <br /> to fiscal year 2013. This includes the Chief s Vehicle, and the Rescue Pumper. <br /> Upon review of the state bid,the current pricing for the Rescue Pumper is <br /> $475,000, approximately$200,000 less than anticipated. For planning purposes, <br /> the bid estimate is issued for 15 months, and will be deferred to FY-13. <br />
