Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> December 1 ,2005 <br /> Public Hearin: <br /> The Community Preservation Committee agreed to schedule a televised <br /> Public Hearing on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in conference <br /> room#1 of the Mashpee Town Hall. <br /> The purpose of the Hearing is to conduct a public informational meeting <br /> as directed by the CPC bylaw on the needs, possibilities and resources of <br /> , <br /> the town as they relate to historic preservation.recreation, affordable <br /> housing and open space. <br /> The date of the Hearing, January 17, 2006 is the next scheduled meeting <br /> of the Community Preservation Committee. <br /> Letters of Interest: <br /> To date,the Committee has received four letters of interest for possible <br /> funding. The Mashpee e wampano Tribal Council remitted a letter o <br /> interest to apply for funds to assist with the restoration of the Old Indian <br /> Meeting House. Gerald'C.mina,Algonquin Investment Trust submitted a <br /> letter of interest to consider a 7-8 acre parcel of land known as 53. <br /> Paywnps Road for its preservation. The'Town of Mashpee owns a piece <br /> of land adjacent to the Payarnps Road property. <br /> Dante R. Gallerani Real Estate of Sagore, IIA remitted a letter of <br /> interested to consider the acquisition of approximately 78 acres off Route <br /> 10 and bordering wakeby Lake. The land is presently owned by Saint <br /> Vincent's Home Corporation. <br /> A letter of interest was received from Leila Botsford,Mashpee Housing <br /> Authority seeking funding to construct four new wits of affordable, <br /> family rental housing located on property they currently own on Old <br /> Barnstable Road, llashpee. The property, Breezy Acres presently has six <br /> units of affordable,rental family housing. <br /> On behalf ofthe CPC Committee, the Chairman will submit a <br /> memorandum to the above referenced persons submitting letters of interest <br /> for 6mmunity Preservation funding. The application and notice of the <br /> Public Nearing will be included in the correspondence. <br /> It was noted that applications received by April 1, 2006 would be <br /> considered for funding at the October 2006 Town Meeting. <br />
