y <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> February 27,2007 <br /> I <br /> Present: Beverly Kane, Richard Halpern, Evelyn Buschenfeldt,, <br /> Ralph Shaw, Gus Frederick <br /> Absent: Wayne Taylor,Diane I ommefineyer, Ed Barkin, Paula l Iters <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Ms. Kane acting as Chair in the absence <br /> Wayne Taylor at 6:00 p.m. Town Mall, Conference Boon#1 <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Tuesda ----_, .2 .2007 a u1 r Session: <br /> Due to the lack of a full voting Board,the CPC Cottee deferred <br /> acceptance of the above referenced minutes to the next scheduled meeting. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS■ <br /> Public Hearing—CPA Applications for October 2007 Town Meeting <br /> I <br /> Beverly Kane, acting Chair opened the Public Dearing to conduct a public <br /> informational meeting as directed by the Community Preservation <br /> Committee bylaw on the needs,possibilities and resources of the town as <br /> they relate to historic preservation,recreation,affordable housing and . <br /> open space. At this Hearing, information about application procedures for <br /> the ceding of prof sets at the Annual Town Meeting in October of 2007 <br /> from the Community Preservation Fund would be provided, and responses <br /> to questions from interested parties would be given. <br /> The Hearing notice was read aloud in accordance with posting <br /> requirements. It was disclosed the deadline to submit applications for <br /> funding consideration at the October 2007 Torn Fleeting is April 1, 2007. <br /> The Hearing was opened to solicit comment. <br /> l lashpee resident, William Marti ros in hi'inquiry about the charge of the <br /> -CPC Committee asked if funding would be available to police and <br /> maintain the pang areas at the John's Pond facility. The Committee in <br /> response indicated the Blue Ribbon Comprehensive Committee lRCC <br /> and/or Conservation Commission would be the proper venue to consider <br /> improvements to the parking areas in the John's Pond subject location. <br /> • 5 <br />
