Beach: (continued) Wills Work Road, a dirt road is presently i poor condition. The goal of the project is to provide public access by widening the overgrown and narrow road. Crushed stone would be added to the driving surface and parking lot area. The road is intended to be 14' wide having one lane and several turn--out areas for passing vehicles. The total project request is $70,000. The cost is estimated as follows; Tree& Stump Removal, General Site Clearing: $20,000 Crushed&Re-processed Stone; $30,000 Stone Delivery, Grading, Re-Rolling, Equipment: $20,000 The Department of Public Worts would conduct ongoing maintenance o the road and parking lot areas. A map of the area was also provided in the application. VVENERR, an abutter of the parcel is supportive of the project and IEP has granted the Town a 30' wide right-of-way to the Ten .Acre South Cape Beach site. John T;Wheldon—St: Vincent's Home Corporation: John T. Wheldon, St. Vincent's Horne Corporation was in attendance to discuss a 78.67 open space parcel relative to property owned by the Saint Vincent's Home Corporation of Fall River,MA located on Main Street, Route 1309 llashpee. The CPA fundmn request i $3346,800,representing a cost o $40,000 per acre. An appraisal of the subject property dated May 16, 2005 was presented to the Committee for additional disclosure. The market value a appraised in 2005 for 86.67 acres of land was $4,000,000. The property is assessed by the'Town of Ma. hpee in FY207 for $5,807,300. It was noted the Diocese would retain 8 ages having frontage on Route 130 for potential use. It is not cel, but a local church may have use for the property in the future. 1
