' <br /> Notion seconded by Mr. Shaw. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> Mr.Larkin abstained. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> Leila Botsford—flash ee Rental Assistance Pro wn: <br /> Leila Botsford, Executive Director of the Mashpee-Housing Authority was <br /> in attendance to further discuss specific requirements regarding the <br /> proposed'Mashp a Rental Assistance Program. <br /> Funding for Phase l of the intended progrann would create much-needed <br /> housing authority used programs for Mashpee gage earners who may be <br /> over-income for traditional assistance programs, and lack the ability t <br /> purchase a home due to the increased cost of housing on Cape Cod. <br /> The CPA funding request for-Phase I would offer subsidized payments for <br /> approximately 20 participants at a cost of$110,000. The average monthly <br /> subsidy to be paid by the program is $458. The total funding request is <br /> $118,,800. The funding includes part-time admin strative support to <br /> implement the program. <br /> In Massachusetts, the Towns of Chatham,Nantucket, Rockport, Westport <br /> and Nburyport were noted to have similar and successful rental housing <br /> assistance programs. The Town of Chatham served as a model fot Ms. <br /> Botsford to develop the program for the Town of Mashpee. <br />
