2 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> Tuesday, February 10, 2009 <br /> Present: Wayne Taylor, Richard Halpern, Ralph Shaw, Paula Peters, <br /> Gus Frederick, Thomas O'Hara <br /> Absent: Diane Rommelmeyer, Ed Larkin, Evelyn Buschenfeldt <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Taylor at 6:05 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#1 <br /> MMTES: <br /> Tuesday, December 9, Zoo 8. <br /> The above referenced minutes were deferred due to a lack of quonu . <br /> APP E'gTMENTS AND HEARIN r.$. <br /> Public Hearin —Application Procedures for October 2009 CPA Fund* <br /> The Community Preservation Conunittee (CPQ opened the Public <br /> Hearing to conduct an informational public meeting as directed by the <br /> Community Preservation Committee bylaw on the needs,possibilities and <br /> resources of the torn as they relate to historic preservation, recreation, <br /> affordable housing and open space. <br /> At this hearing, information about application procedures for the funding <br /> of projects at the Annual Town Meeting in October of 2009 from the <br /> Community Preservation Fund will be provided. <br /> The CPC opened the Public Nearing to solicit comment. <br /> Newly appointed member Tom O'Hara asked if there is a mechanism for <br /> the CPC to accept additional ceding from outside contributions for <br /> projects such as affordable housing. It was noted the Ilashpee Housing <br /> Autho ty is allowed to accept funds for affordable housing. A worthwhile <br /> project is Breezy.Acres, an affordable housing development located on <br /> Old Barnstable Road proposed for expansion. The proposal has received <br /> CPA f coding and Mate contributions. Additional funding from outsidim <br /> sources would greatly assist in this construction project. Mr:Halpern <br /> indicated he would provide names and contact persons associated to <br /> affordable housing needs to 11r. O'Hara for additional review. <br />
