Taylor, Chairman
Dear Mr. Taylor and Members of the Committee:
During your meeting of November 10, 2009, Habitat reviewed their application.tion for a CPA Grant
to purchase a parcel of land and build an affordable house on Russell Road in Ma.shpce.
During the review, the questions were asked as to what would be the permitting process and
would not two unh ildable lots be created?
Last week, John West, the owner of the subject parcel, Torn Fdala, the Town's Planner, and 1
net to discuss and answer these concerns as follows:
1. The permitting process would consist of first, John West appearing before the Planning
Board and creating the new parol as an AIR (Approval Not Required) parcel.
Subsequently, Habitat would seep}a Comprehensive Permit with the conditions of
Chapter 40B to allow the building of an affordable house on the recently created parcel.
2. The parcel containing the John West residence would remain `buildable' even after the
shedding of the newly created, the AIR parcel. The Nest Property would remain in
excess of 40,000 sq. ft., the area required by current zoning to be . "buildable lot).
Should you have other questions, please contact us.
e truly yours,
na s son
Cc: Torn Fuda.la
Warren Brodie
Victoria Goldsmith
Sue Daggett
4
a b I ta tfior H urea n I ty of Cape Cock 1s a 5 01 c)(3), non-pro it organs atioll,
