6 <br /> MASHPEE ENTERPRISE <br /> PRESS RELEASE <br /> The Town of Mashpee through its Community Preservation Committee is <br /> accepting applications for the funding of projects at the Annual Town 'Meeting in <br /> May of 2012 from the Community Preservation Fund. <br /> Community Preservation Funding supports projects related to historic <br /> preservation, affordable housing, open space and recreation. Projects funded by <br /> the CPC include;the restoration of the Old Indian Meetinghouse, the Mashpee <br /> archeological survey, the Breezy Acres expansion project, the Mashpee Village i <br /> recapitalization project, the relocation of the One Room Schoolhouse and the <br /> preservation of vita! records i n the,Town Clerk's Office. <br /> The CPC has also funded the Mashpee community garden expansion <br /> project,the preservation and restoration of the Mashpee Archives and funding to <br /> Habitat for Humanity to offset development costs associated to the construction <br /> of affordable homes in the Town of Mashpee. Open space projects include the <br /> Mills Family Lands,, 15,24 acres at Santuit Pond and funding to support the <br /> purchase of the Pickerel Cove Recreation Area. <br /> The deadline to submit applications for the May Town Meeting is <br /> November 1, 2011. Applications are available in the Office of the Board of <br /> Selectmen/Town Manager, and on the Town's website; www.masnpeema.gov <br />
