3 Community Preservation Committee Minutes October 4.2011 OLD BUSINESS: Approval of_Invoice for P ent: The Community Preservation Con nittee was in receipt of an invoice from Town Counsel in the amount of$6o dated September 1, 2011 for correspondence with the Town of Barnstable relative to the disposition of the Trills Lands at Santuit Pond. Motion made by Mr. O'Hara to approve the invoice payable to Louison, Costello and Condon PAS',LISP(Town Counsel) in the amount o o for legal woik associated to the transfer of interest in the Mills Lands to the Town of Barnstable. Rommelmeyer,yes Mr. Shaw,yes Mr. Larkin,yes Mr.Lord,yes Mrs. Buschfeldt,yes Mr. Kaplan,yes Opposed, none Mills Family Lands—Update on Status of Land Transfer: At their last meeting,the Board of Selectmen voted mn accordance with the Annual May 2, 2011 vote of Town Meeting to petition for Special Legislation to permit Ilashpe to transfer a partial interest in the lulls Family Lands to the. Town of Barnstable. To ensure the transfer of$150,000 in CPA funds, the Community Preservation Committee reviewed the language of the.Town Meeting article. As noted: All funds paid to Mashpee by Barnstable in consideration of this interest would he deposited in the Community Preservation Committee account from which the original purchase price was paid, and thus become available for appropriation for additional CPC Open Space expenditures. As the article 1s r* ten, it was agreed that Rmdi*ng would be retied to the Open Space Reserves of the Community Preservation Committee. CPA funding from the Ton of Barnstable is anticipated to b.e received by the Town of llashpee in approximately one month.
