5 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> April 3, 2012 <br /> NEW L SMES S <br /> Discussion relative to Affordable Housi <br /> recent article in the local newspaper prompted the CPC Committee to discuss <br /> the matter of requiring LORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) con <br /> future Affordable Housing applications. <br /> In discussing this matter, it was noted that most state homeownership programs <br /> do not require LORI checks as there is a potential liability with regards to <br /> discrimination. However, it was disclosed that LORI checks are required by <br /> statute and unposed by the federal government. <br /> [upon review,the Committee agreed that future CPA applications relative to <br /> Affordable Housing would require LORI cheeks if it is legally applicable to the <br /> extent as allowed by lave. This decision would be forwarded to the Board of <br /> Selectmen for informational purposes. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Approval of Invoices for Pa, meat: <br /> Pickerel l Cove Recreation Area—ale Care Organics: $270, composted soil <br /> Pickerel Cove Recreation Area—Lawrence Lynch: $16,195 <br /> Stump& brush removal, equipment and disposal costs <br /> Town Counsel 2 —Mashpee village/The Community Builders: $270 & $300 <br /> Legal research, communication re; project eligibility, consult& communication <br /> Mashpee Archives —BIW Engineers: $3,825 & $425 <br /> Design development, hazardous material testing <br /> Breezy Acres Expansion Project: Mousing Assistance Corporation: $37,712.50 <br /> Reimbursement expenses; 5 invoices <br /> Santuit Pond—SolarBees: $273,751 <br /> Final invoice <br />
