Conservation Commission <br /> } October 1+, 1993 <br /> Page 8, <br /> Mr. Hayes advised they have an order of Conditions and Certificate of Compjiance <br /> the latest for construction of a revetment. An observation well will service <br /> the proposed house and they aro looking for approval for the septic as approved <br /> by the Board of Health. The applicant understands before putting in a foundation, <br /> he must submit a Notice of Intent. They are 31 feet to ground water, The zone <br /> of contribution for T54 well is not within the 11*Hdts of this lot. <br /> . Sherman had no problems with the concept and there is no problem with nutrient <br /> 'loading. A submission is included to this effect. Mr. Hayes advised ground water <br /> flow is to the sound. Landscaping referred to is reveettion of the area after <br /> the septic is put in. <br /> Mrs. Ferriday stated the septic should be as far back from the bank as possible. <br /> Mr. Hayes advised it is designed to meet breakout. They will have to maintain <br /> an absolute 20 ft. setback. The maim issue is the septic system. It is necessary <br /> o get approval for the septic system so they do not run out of time on the window. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to continue to the next meeting, October 28th, <br /> at 8:10 p.m. Ms Larvik abstained. <br /> COI : Mr. Hayes advised there are three cesspools on the lot. He asked the <br /> Commission's position on swimming pool drains. Mr. Sherman advised the Commission <br /> asks for a drywell. <br /> SEOELTEISH WARDER: Mr. York advised he has been talking to people regarding the <br /> possibility of CCA piles being dried and painted with an epoxy paint. The <br /> Shellfish Commission concurred decks should be conditioned to be constructed <br /> so as not to leach pollutants into the water. He feels it is a feasible <br /> solution. Epoxy copper base bottom paint would be very durable. <br /> Mr. Sherman will write a draft for consideration at the next meeting. He would <br /> have to see the piles before they go in. A notice should go out to recently <br /> permitted decks that the Commission would permit this. M. Wilson concerning a path on a slope in <br /> the buffer zone. They are asking to relocate the path farther away from the <br /> resource. An RDA cannot be amended but as long as further away, a letter can <br /> e written to state this is acceptable. <br /> VOTE: Motion oracle and seconded to pest the relocation of the path by letter. <br /> i <br /> i <br />
