QUINLAN for a Determination of Applicability n the <br /> After-The-Fact reinforcement of a beth and proposed planting of arborvitaes at <br /> 14 Tuspaquin Road. There was no one present for the bearing. <br /> Mc. Sherman advised this is at the south end of John's Pond where the flume is. <br /> He has been planting and cleaning and the slopes were bare because he raked then. <br /> He has been cooperative. The plan includes planting of arborvitaes. He did not <br /> see a problem with this. <br /> Mrs. Simmons asked if ground cover was planned? <br /> Mr. Sherman stated it would be better to allow nature vegetation to core in. He <br /> suggested a negative determination pending his looking at this one more time; some <br /> straw may be needed. <br /> Public comments were requested; there were none. <br /> = Motion made and seconded to find a Negative Determinationpending the agent <br /> condunting an on-site and receipt of abutter notification receipts. <br /> Mr. Quinlan arrived and presented abutter receipts. <br /> D PEMIM o -S�. <br /> :1 , continued from May 228, 1992. Mr. Shun gage the <br /> background. The report from Stan Humphries was forwarded to those who had requested <br /> it at the previous hearing. He net with Stan Humphries and Norman Hayes to go over <br /> many points. There were 4 or 5 areas of clarification Norman Hayes will review. <br /> He met also with the Rock Landing Association to address their concerns. He spoke <br /> with Jim O'Connell and will mail him updated materials. He did not feel the hearing <br /> would be closed tonight but is moving closer to clarifying issues <br /> Mr. Hayes advised he brought with him this evening, David Cri.spin, Design Engineer <br /> who did some of the analysis. He reviewed methodology. They have a current order <br /> of Conditions from Gape Cod Commission. Prior to 1982, attempts to put in groins <br /> were not successful. Protocol is detailed in annexes to the Notice of Intent. In <br /> 1984 an emergency row of stones was ut1li ed to determine if a single rock revetment <br /> might succeed in halting erosion; it arrested the problem for a couple of years. <br /> It was then requested to withdraw the draft EIR. A full-blown. draft EIR was required. <br /> Work started in 1988. They have submitted beach nourishment reports, 33 profiles. <br /> The regional beach nourishment program is on-going for 1.8 MUe stretch. Information <br /> is in this office. <br /> Mr. Sherman asked if this is at the eastern-most terminus? Mr, Hayes stated at the <br /> Golf Course. Mr. She an asked if it encompassed the private beach nourishment and <br /> was told the analysis incorporates the entire 33 profiles. <br /> btc% Sherman suggested a joint meeting with Aubrey and consolidation of all the <br /> programs. <br /> 49 <br />
