At 7:00 p.m. there was no quorum and the commission engaged in informal discussion pending the arrival of Elizabeth Terry, Associate Member, who had been called. The meeting was called to order at 7:20 p.mlp 7:00 JOHN A. LOVE, 134 Sumnersea Road, continued from March 7, 1991, Mrs.. Simmons stepped down. The chairman asked her to reconsider and sit on the hearing under the rule of necessity, to prevent loss of quorum. Bob Gray of Sabatia who was presenting had no objection. Mr. Gray advised, at the March 7 meeting, the Commission had requests now shown on the plan and in the narrative: 1. Requested the third float be deleted. It has been removed) 2. A four foot footing will be added on each float consisting of styrofoam pads itx 20 x 20 capped with pressure treated and bolted into existing infra- s truc tune with eye bolts. 3. Information requested on type of boats utilizing the structure: A 20 ft. Marlin Sportfisher, 1" beam, draft 12-14", with 150 BP outboard and .13 ft. Boston Whaler with " draft, believed to have an outboard motor. Ms B hran was concerned with a boat with this draft bottoming out and also with the use of styrofoam. She asked if it could be covered with fabric or plastic sealant? Mr. Gray advised, as a retro-fit, they are trying to lighten the structure. Length- ening the structure to be out in deeper water would stop the bottoming out but perhaps create ober problems. Given this particular situation, this is the best that can be done. Consideration was given to wrapping the styrofoam with filter fabric; this could be conditioned. fir. Gray agreed that might be easier. The Chairman called for questions or comments. Noel Gurwick of W. 'Falmouth, a member of Citizens for Waquoit Bay, asked what would be the resolution of the question raised by the commission concerning disturbance on the bottom by boats? Mrs. Simmons advised that was a comment made as boats have been seen rum rig at the dock to create a channel , V= Lotion rade and seconded to close the hearing. A restriction is a negotiated legal document in which the landowner relingLushes development title to the land for low intensity use, gardening, trails, etc. .. beeping it in it's natural. state.
