Conser vation Commission
Public Hearing - July 1, 1990
Page 3.
CO 'EY: For anyone interested in pursuing what is and isn't allowable, if it
is a simple question on your own procedures on your own property, you can
usually double-check with fir. Sherman* He is usually available and is
fountainhead of information; he knows the regulations forward and backward.
What we are doing here specifically, we are enforcing the State law, Chapter
131,40,- At the same tine, we are enforcing the Town Bylaw, section 172, 1
through 1 , plus our own regulations, all at the same time. When we have a
hearing, it's under the state law which the.Town enforces and everything we
do is checked at the state level. Our bylaw closely parallels existing state
law and in some cases exceeds it slightly, or has a slightly different accent
to it. Appeal under that is to Superior court. You have recourse and you
have protection in the Town that is mandated by the Mate and again by the
Town, Personally, I like to think. it is for the good ofall and, on occasion,
it 11*. its some, but for the greater good.
The public was thanked for attending and invited to attend Commission meetings.
Mr. Fiorentini asked Mr. Sherman to make an hour available to the public and
have it advertised.
Mr. Sherman advised appointments are scheduled for Monday afternoon and Tuesday
Morning.
Mr, Kaminske stated floats will be a problem this fall and asked where it i
legal to store them? .
Mr. Coffey advised there is a regulation in effect which the COMMissim opted
not to enforce until fall; this is a good reminder.
. Homeyer referred to Page, Article 7, in answer to the question of Moats,
"keep off the bank and vegetated wetland". Adopted in August of 1989.
The members of the Commission introduced themselves.
OFREGULATIONS:
Page 7. Percentages to be struck. Unanimous Note
Page 13: Pt O: The agent to work on this further. To be re-inserted.
Notion made and seconded to accept I egul tions #4 and #6 as written in
the new revised edition of the regulations. To reflect new definitions).
Unanimous Vote.
DISPOSITION:
VOTE: Motion rade and seconded to accept Non-Crirlinal Disposition #6 as written
in the new revised edition.
