I I I SEE CONSIRVATION CONffSSIO T Met-ion g of Seer 6 1990 Commissioners Present: Patrick Coffey, v. -Louise Behrman, Duncan York, Marry De rosiers and Associate Member Susana Lannik. Robert Sherman, Conservation Agent, was present also. The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. LEEPOTIM19 I% WARDEN: The Commission was advised he has received approval for a grant to allow two men twenty hours work weekly for twenty weeks, They will start at the head of the pond and work to route 28 cleaning the Ma tepee River. Any overgrowth will be removed. He asked the Commission for guidelines. The flume will be replaced; there will be no digging, only clearing of brush. There is a rusted out tank in the river that will be removed. There was discussion of the promised $5,000 from Tack Sullivan for clean-up. 1t was suggested any building/occupancy permits be held pending settlement t of this debt. The banks will only be cleared of what is hanging down into the river. There are two trees at the herring run that have narrowed the river to three feet where it should be twelve feet. Ms Behrman stated that slows the water flow creating higher temperatures. Mr. Coffey asked what was required procedurally' Mr. Sherman advised there is an aquacul ur l exemption which would apply. H requested a written one -page description of what is proposed for the record. Mr. Dotter suggested a meeting with regards to the Johns Pond flume and the Wilds�River. Mr. York asked where the out brush will be disposed of and was told it will be stacked far away from the bank making a hone for other animals. , It was noted Don Born of the American Littoral.
