Conservation Commission
September 20, 1990
Page 7.
Excess material will have to be taken off-site except for that to be used to
back fill. The water line will be hand dug. A planting plan will. ' p1e-
ented as the water line is put in and in the appropriate season. The land-
scaping around the house can be done as the house is completed.
Regarding tree inventory outside of the construction footprint, 2% to be
removed and. saved, Mr. Coffey asked what portion of the lot was referenced?
Mr, Sanicki stated from the front of the lot to the work limit as shown on the
side. It does not take into account all the trees from the work limit to the
pond; those will all remain with the exception of possibly one or two in con-
junction with the well.
Mr. Coffey asked what percentage of the lot is the work area and was given an
estimate of % within the work lindt to the street side with the most of the
lot on the bank. They are staying off the real steep part, they will be 62
feet off,
Mr. Coffey asked if Mr. Sanicki was stating the work 1=' *t area is 60 of the
lot or of the lot and vegetation to be removed is %, they are removing
1 of the vegetation on the lot?
Mr. Sani ki stated he would not dispute that statement; they are dealing with
a narrow 50 foot lot.
Mrs. Simmons asked if he felt there would be impact on the lots on either side
with the removal of vegetation and was told he did not feel this would affect
any lot. She asked for a name. of someone that will be directly responsible
for the sequence of work. She suggested different haybale lines for the phases
of construction.
. Sanicki stated it would be difficult to monitor when to put them in and when
to remove them. He asked if it could be conditioned. Mrs. Simmons asked if he
could make suggestions for mitigation as it goes along? Mr. Sanicki agreed and
suggested conditioning it as, at the time the foundation is backfilled the inter-
mittent rows of haybales laterally be placed at the mid-foundation and rear
foundation and maintain allthe haybales shown in the work limit throughout
the project; that would not be a hardsldp, 30 feet of haybales back into the
wall, 30 feet of haybales mid-wall. He suggested filter fabric backed up
with a single row of haybales on the down-side.
Mr. Sherman, agreed and stated they should be trenched. He suggested monitoring
be conditioned. Mr. Saniki asked who would provide this. fir. Sherman would
reconnend a person who can be reached at all times to be designated as the
overall agent of this project.
Mr. Sanieki suggested in the order of Conditions, upon Mr. Regan contracting
with a contractor, designate a responsible individual within his force.
Mr. Coffey expressed concern, where the lot is to be cleared side line to
side line, that the trees in the adjoining park be protected. Given past
history, this project will be closely conditioned and closely monitored.
He asked if it is truly a 'buildable lot and was told it is.
