As requested, he contacted Boston re the dimension of the pipe.
The location of the seasonal float was described and he was told 3" pipe was
reasonable. He also spoke with Wayne Switzer at D.E.P. . re the profile and
detail sheet for the galvanized pipe vs 112" eye bolt. A revised plan was
requested which he did not have but he wrote a letter expl an i rig in detail
the changes on Sheet 2 and Mr. Switzer agreed that would be adequate.
They have elected to go with the " pipe instead f the chain. A copy of the
Changes made was sent- to the Board of Appeals also. The project was readvertised
as a seasonal ramp and float.
Question was raised by D.E.P. concerning whether- the cement ramp should be
licensed under Chapter 91 and It did not appear to be necessary at that time.
On the check off list, the water quality requirement, he called Joan Perry
who stated this would not apply. The shellfish warden helped work out a study.
A letter from D.E.P. received today stated the Cement ramp will have to be licensed
under Chapter 91 ; they will submit for this.
Paul Somerville agreed the plan is representative of the area and felt the least
amount of damage will be done by the location proposed.
Mr. Gauthier advised the float i 11 be stored upland.
